Hohman Plating Starts $12M Plant Expansion

Hohman Plating in has begun work on a $12 million expansion of its operations in Dayton, Ohio.

The improvements include a new 26,500-square-foot addition to their existing facility, which already includes over 15 finishing lines, more than 50 processes, and over 1,000 specifications they meet in the aerospace, defense, nuclear, automotive, medical, and construction industries.3

The Nadcap-accredited Hohman — which was founded in 1918 and had over 170 employees — says it has a goal to double its sales, which it says is expected to pass $40 million by the end of the year.

The new space will help Hohman reach those goals, company officials say, and it will remodel much of the existing process areas, too.

The expansion is expected to be completed in March 2024, when Hohman will shift some of its existing operations. The company says it will grow the number of employees by 20% to 30% as they continue to grow.
